Healthcare data goes from big to great

Analytics is going to be the differentiator.

Not only is data getting bigger, it’s getting smarter.  In this age of big data, analytics in healthcare has expanded from business intelligence and revenue-cycle management to clinical care.  For example, health insurer WellPoint is branching out from simply looking for gaps in coding, thanks to a combination of better data and more advanced algorithms. Now, the company can look for gaps in care as well.
