Data and Analytics form 2 of the 4 key pieces in internet of things

Imagine living in a world of connected things that can intelligently and intuitively respond to what you need and want. Devices in your home and in the world around you could discover one another, connect and interact, while adding personal context to situations, so they work for you.

This is being termed as the Digital Sixth Sense. The belief is that when devices, places and people are intelligently connected, the impact on our daily life could be profound. Some evidence of this transformation is already around us: the so-called smart cities, sensor driven devices, smart vehicles and the now ubiquitous wearable “smart” devices are leading this innovation. In the very near future, pretty much everything you can imagine will be connected.
