Big Data: Can Analytics Improve Your Sex Life?

One of the most pervasive metaphors about big data is that it is like teenage sex: everybody’s talking about it, but nobody is doing it. And while I heartily disagree, perhaps some of the best proof that this metaphor is false is that big data and sex are becoming much more than just metaphorically linked.

We have long known that companies like Match.com, OKCupid and Tinder use big data to try to create potential love matches, but other companies are also using data to influence not just our dating lives, but our sex lives as well.
