It’s looking more like buyers’ market as the number of data analytics deals grows. Seeking to break out of the pack of business intelligence and analytical tool vendors, Tibco Software said it would acquire data science platform vendor Statistica.
Separately, NGDATA, a “customer experience management” vendor, said Tuesday (May 16) it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Eccella Inc., a data management and analytics consultancy based in New York City. Tibco said its acquisition of Statistica is expected to close “in the coming weeks. Details of the deal were not disclosed.
