The use of business intelligence and analytics to make decisions is on the rise in corporate America. According to a Gartner report, the the BI and analytics market is expected to grow to $20 billion by 2019. We are already at a stage where over 50% of the analysts and users in organizations have access to self-service tools for business intelligence.
This is not surprising given recent reports that suggest that the use of such tools help businesses five times more likely to make faster decisions. But it’s not just faster decision making that is driving the adoption of business intelligence tools. BI and analytics relies heavily on data to arrive at conclusions.
