Bowling Green — In theory, a business supply chain is a fairly simple concept. “If you want to understand a supply chain, it’s always just about moving and moving stuff,” said Carlos Londono, global supply chain vice president for glass packaging manufacturer Owens-Illinois, Inc.
But in practice, supply chains become highly complex as a business grows. Disruptions to that chain can do a business lasting harm if not properly addressed. However, using analytics to manage a supply chain can turn it into a valuable provider of key insights and significant advantages, Mr. Londono said.
