Data management vendors continue to target the growing number of cloud-native NoSQL database applications while shifting their platforms to Docker containers to handle microservices-based apps.
Among them is Rubrik, which this week rolled out the latest version of its data protection platform upgraded to handle cloud-based applications on NoSQL databases, including Cassandra and MongoDB. Version 3.0 of the Datos IO platform is intended to provide backup and recovery for NoSQL workloads that are steadily shifting to the cloud. The latest Rubrik data manager also adds support for Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud along with previous support for Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud, the company said Wednesday (Sept. 12).
